Recently, ace poker player Kunal Patni finished as the 1st runner up at WPTDeepStack Berlin Main Event.

Patni, who is from Mumbai faced off against Dustin Mangold from Germany to battle for the winner’s trophy. However, Mangold outplayed the Adda52 Team Pro and won the prestigious title for a whopping cash prize of €134,809. Both the final table players performed exceptionally well and outlasted a total of 561 other poker players.
Although Kunal Patni played his best game in the heads-up but it was Dustin Mangold who scored the highest win of his poker career. The WPTDeepStacks tournament turned out to be a record-breaking event organized outside of the USA. Patni, who presently has earned more than $335,380 in live tournament winnings, has participated in a number of WPT events. In June 2017, he came in the 15th position at the WPT500 Main Event held in Las Vegas and won a massive collected prize of $12,700.
This year the Adda52 Team Pro had a great time and proved his mettle by reaching the final table at the WPTDeepStack Berlin Main Event. He entered the heads-up battle as the chip leader by defeating the reputed German player Adem Gul to battle it out with Mangold. Initially, our Indian pro dominated the table but by losing two important hands, he ended up losing his advantage to Mangold.
During the final hand of the marquee event, Mangold held 9s-6d and opened with 420,000 while Patni called with Kh-7s as he wanted to view the flop 6s-Kd-2d. Patni check-called and then checked for a second time at the turn 5c with Mangold betting 835,000. He checked again to view the river 6h and Mangold smartly decided to move all-in. After Patni placed his chips on the center, Mangold showed his 9-6 at the river whereas Patni held a king. Hence, the German poker pro emerged as the champion and bagged the winning prize of €96,140.
Although Kunal Patni was unable to bag the winning title, he undoubtedly created poker news India headlines by becoming the only Indian Adda52 Team Pro ranking as the 1st runner-up at a WPT Main Event.
